Founder & CEO
BFA, RYT® 200, Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor
India has enjoyed a diverse and expansive background in non-profit work, design, culinary arts, events and yoga teaching. After successfully selling her first business to Marriott® Hotels, she knew she was on the right career path as an entrepreneur, but still searching for the difference she wanted to make in the world. Becoming a mother shed light on her life’s purpose, “Transitioning from woman to mother was by far the hardest thing I have ever been through. That was when I knew, I am here to walk in this purpose – to support women just like me.” In 2021, India put together her talent as a creator, passion as a yoga practitioner, and desire to support and empower women, to give birth to Yoga Mama®. She is passionate about the deep transformational potency yoga offers us when we are in times of growth, challenge, and change, and dedicated to sharing this with the world.

From the Founder
This photo is from my first pregnancy, but this is not how I remember it. This pregnancy was riddled with painful physical symptoms, as well as debilitating anxiety and depression. It lacked exercise and taking time to relax and rejuvenate. As a result, I was completely out of touch with my body, as well as my mind. During the postpartum period, my mental health really suffered, I could not understand the feelings of grief I was experiencing from the loss of myself. As I searched desperately for ways to improve my condition, I came back to my steady practice of yoga and meditation, and started a weekly self-care routine. It was then that I came back to my true self. I realized the transformation I had gone through, and the lack of support I provided myself along the way.
When it became time to take on the marathon of having another child, I set forward with a plan to support this transformation with self-care. I committed to a weekly prenatal yoga practice, as well as me-time activities like at-home spa days and a nighttime journaling ritual. During my second pregnancy, my symptoms were lighter and more manageable, my growing body was in sync with my mind – we were all in it together, and things were noticeably different.
It was then that I had the idea: what if I could create a community that helps other women avoid the same mistakes I made? And that’s how Yoga Mama was born. Through community support, educational resources, self-care rituals, and products that nurture you, you will be empowered to be the guardian of your own well-being. You will experience pregnancy differently than most women in the world these days. You will feel the bliss and radiance you've heard of, but more importantly, you will take on motherhood with the tools you need to do it gracefully.
